Benefits of Membership
The Gauteng Family Law Forum is an organisation that advocates for change in the courts in areas affecting family law. This entails communication with the DJP for the appointment of specialist Judges and Magistrates. It also concerns itself with practical things that affect clients and children and matters and processes in the Children’s Courts, Maintenance Courts and Domestic Violence Courts. The Forum also collaborates with the Family Advocate and other relevant professionals such as social workers and health care specialists. All members subscribe to a Code of Conduct that encourages Members of this forum to approach family law matters in a constructive way, seeking to resolve and not to inflame.
